Hoosiers are more apt to carry guns than those in most every other state in the United States.
There’s a higher percentage of gun permit holders, anyway.
According to a study by the Crime Prevention Research Center, which studies the “costs and benefits of gun ownership,” Indiana has the third-highest concentration of adults with gun permits in the country, 11.6 percent of them. That trails only Alabama, 12.6 percent, and South Dakota, 12.3 percent.
