Pastor Anthony Jobe was at home in Fort Worth, Texas, when a man rang his doorbell and then attempted to break in through a side door. Upon discovering the criminal, Jobe retrieved a gun and fired at the intruder, striking him and causing him to flee.  The criminal was captured a short time later when he sought medical attention for his wounds. The intruder’s injuries have been reported as non-life-threatening.

When interviewed by local media, Jobe stated, “That’s unfortunate, shooting pastor, I know… I shoot more as a hobby and I like to go to the gun range, but this is unfortunate that this happened like this, but you have to do what you have to do to protect your family.” (WFAA, Fort Worth, Texas 05/07/12)
