Last week, the Florida regular legislative session adjourned for 2012, with several pro-gun bills heading to Governor Rick Scott for his consideration.
House Bill 313 would limit the liability of landowners who contract with the state to allow their private land to be used by the public for hunting, fishing and other recreational purposes.
House Bill 463 would provide that otherwise qualified members and veterans of U.S. Armed Forces be issued a concealed weapon or firearm license regardless of age or U.S. residency in certain circumstances. This bill also contains language to prohibit the reckless discharge of firearms in neighborhoods.
House Bill 5601 would reduce the fee for a new concealed carry weapons license application from $85 to $70 for a seven-year license and would reduce the fee for a renewal of a concealed carry weapons license from $70 to $60 for a seven-year license.
No grassroots action is needed on these bills at this time.
