A homeowner in Wichita, Kans., heard a prowler attempting to break into his truck around 10:30 p.m. The homeowner retrieved a gun and went outside to investigate. When the homeowner confronted the trespasser, the criminal moved towards the homeowner, causing the homeowner to respond by firing his gun. The criminal was wounded by the homeowner’s fire and taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.
