The number of people seeking gun permits has soared in Kentucky this year, apparently sparked by fears that President Barack Obama's administration has an anti firearms agenda. So far this year, applications for permits are up 50 percent in Boone County, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office. In April, for example, the office took 120 applications, the same month last year it handled just 67.
