Two more pro-guns bills are heading to Governor Jim Gibbons’ (R) desk:
Senate Bill 237, sponsored by Senator John Lee (D-1) and Senator Warren Hardy (R-12), will allow Nevada to negotiate Right-to-Carry reciprocity agreements with states whose training standards match Nevada’s, and
Senate Bill 92, also sponsored by Senator John Lee, amends the state firearms preemption statute that mandates immediate handgun registration for any firearm owner who enters Clark County by extending it from immediate registration to sixty days. This bill also extends the registration period for taking title to a pistol from 24 hours to 72 hours.
Governor Gibbons’ office lobbied on behalf of both bills during their trek through the legislative process, and he is expected to sign them within the next week.
