The Fish and Wildlife Service has announced plans to write a comprehensive conservation plan to guide the management of these south Louisiana refuges for the next 15 years.
Refuge staff will begin soliciting public input by holding open houses and accepting public comments on how the refuges should be managed, including the continuation of hunting.
It is important that hunters who enjoy access to these refuges participate in the planning process.
Comments maybe submitted until Friday, May 18th.
