In an effort to stop the NRA's "no duty to retreat" measure, the Brady Campaign has declared Wyoming a battleground state in which to deny law-abiding citizens their right to self-defense. House Bill 46, as introduced by Representative Steve Watt (R-17) and Representative Mick Powers (R-18), would ensure that an individual whose home or occupied vehicle was being broken into had no duty to retreat before using deadly force. The Legislature is set to convene on February 13th, and due to the Budget Session, will only meet for twenty days.
Due to the shortness of the legislative session, it is vital that NRA members contact their legislators and ask for their support of HB 46 immediately. The Brady Campaign has already started with their misinformation and smear tactics!
