Make your voices heard! A public hearing regarding the Comprehensive Black Bear Management Policy is scheduled for this Wednesday, September 21.
The policy was written in response to last year's New Jersey Supreme Court Decision canceling the 2004 hunt. According to last year’s decision, before a 2005 bear hunt can take place the policy must first be approved by DEP Commissioner Bradley Campbell. The purpose of the hearing is to provide Commissioner Campbell with public comment to inform his decision.
Animal rights activists are expected to turn out in force. It is vital that you attend. Please encourage family and friends to do the same.
