Make your voice heard! A public hearing for comment on New Jersey's proposed Comprehensive Black Bear Management Policy is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Cook Campus Center (Rutgers University), 59 Biel Road, New Brunswick, New Jersey 08901. The policy was written in response to last year's New Jersey Supreme Court Decision cancelling the 2004 hunt. According to that decision, the policy must first be approved by DEP Commissioner Bradley Campbell before a 2005 bear hunt can take place. The purpose of the hearing is to provide Commissioner Campbell with public comment to inform his decision.
Animal rights extremists are expected to turn out in force. Please attend and make your voice heard. Driving Directions can be viewed at http://www.rci.rutgers.edu/~cccenter/directions.html.
