Gun makers told Congress on Tuesday that their industry could be financially crippled by lawsuits that seek to hold firearms sellers and manufacturers liable for criminal violence. In a hearing before a House Judiciary Committee panel, representatives of two gun manufacturers SIGARMS Inc. and North American Arms asked Congress to intervene and pass legislation that would block most of the litigation.
