In a September 10 primary, Congressman Wayne Gilchrest faces David Fischer, a 32-year-old attorney who claims the congressman is too liberal for the district. Gilchrest, a supporter of campaign finance reform, may now have to depend on his out-of-state friends in the Washington environmental community to pull his fat out of the fire.
