It was around 3 a.m. when two people entered a Midlothian,
Virginia, gas station brandishing a sharp object and ordering the
attendant to open the cash drawer or "I'll kill ya!" The attendant,
appearing to obey, instead retrieved a handgun kept in the drawer
for exactly such dire situations and leveled it at the bandits.
Figuring the loot wasn't worth their lives, the suspects fled.
