The manhunt for a convicted murderer who had escaped jail had reached day three when Jim Snyder of Union Township, Ohio, recognized the killer walking across his front yard. Arming himself with a handgun, Snyder pursued the criminal into a nearby wooded area and convinced him to give himself up. "There should be more citizens like him," Deputy Tom Collins said of Snyder. "He certainly went beyond the call of duty."
