Hearing a robbery in progress in her Centerville, Tenn., delicatessen, Linda Baker got her gun, emerged from a side room and confronted three would-be robbers, two of whom were armed. The men fired shots into the ceiling and a candy display, then fled. A man from a neighboring business followed the robbers onto the nearby interstate highway, but they cut across the median strip and escaped.
