In Hialeah, Fla., two men entered a jewelry store and headed
for the display cases. One pulled out a hammer and began smashing
the cases, while the other produced a gun and ordered employees to
the floor. Peter Hidalgo, a customer with a concealed firearm
permit, drew his pistol and fired at the armed robber. Both men
fled the store, empty-handed.
