When a man kicked in the front door of her St. Louis, Mo., home and continued to advance, Ella Willis armed herself. As the intruder lunged at Willis, the 75-year-old grandmother fired, killing the man. No charges were filed against Willis. An assistant circuit attorney said, "In my estimation, she was protecting herself."
