Jimmy Lewis Heaton, night manager of a Houston, Tex., produce store, was on guard in his market after having been alerted by an earlier robbery in another store. When a masked man walked in by a side entrance and pulled a gun, Heaton drew his own pistol and fired 5 shots at the armed robber. The bandit fired once and then fell dead.
