Having been robbed at gunpoint and ordered to the rear of
his South Salt Lake, Utah, store by a thief wanted elsewhere for
seriously wounding a clerk in another holdup, Carl A. Templin
grabbed his cal. .38 automatic and rushed to the street as the
gunman headed toward his car. Templin fired, the thief returned the
fire and sped away in the car. The store owner jumped in his pickup
truck and chased the holdup man until he stopped his car, got out,
put his gun on the sidewalk, and surrendered, wounded in the arm.
