The Kansas Attorney General's Office has seen a dramatic uptick in applications for licenses to carry concealed handguns in the past three weeks.
Assistant attorney general C.W. Klebe told the House Federal and State Affairs Committee members to "draw your own conclusions" about why, but the agency has already received almost 2,000 applications in 2013.
