Asked about balancing public safety with the Second Amendment right to gun ownership, Vilsack said there needs to be a national discussion on whether people should own assault rifles and have mail-order access to ammunition.
King said the AR15 assault rifle is the most popular coyote hunting weapon in America, and he and members of his family own them.
"You are not going to take my AR away from me," he said.
