U.S. Sen. Mark Begich has sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder stating Begich’s strong opposition to reinstating the ban on assault weapons. In public comments recently, Holder suggested the ban might be brought back as a way to try to reduce the violence that stems from the drug trade in Mexico.
