The New Mexico Supreme Court has upheld a new law allowing residents to carry a concealed weapon.
The court on Monday denied a petition by the group New Mexico Voices for Children, which was seeking to halt the new law. The justices announced their decision following about a half hour of deliberations, but did not add any details or comments. Chief Justice Petra Jimenez Maes said a written opinion on the ruling would be issued later.
