NRA Members “All In” for 2012 Elections

Friday, April 13, 2012

Over 160 pro-gun patriots rolled up their sleeves and went to work at today's NRA-ILA Grassroots Workshop, titled “Grassroots Campaigning in a National Election Year”.  The event was held in conjunction with NRA's Annual Meetings & Exhibits in St. Louis, Missouri. Though most attendees were home state Missourians, NRA members were represented from states from across the country. Diversity in geography notwithstanding, all were united in a single mission--learning what they can start doing TODAY to ensure a victory for gun owners in November!

NRA-ILA Executive Director, Chris W. Cox, and NRA Second Vice President Allan Cors, paid tribute to the attendees, who serve as the tips of our grassroots arrows, giving credit for NRA's successes to whom it rightly belongs--our members and grassroots activists. Each stressed the need for attendees to be “All In” this election year, and to work to rally America’s 100 million gun owners nationwide to the polls on Election Day.

NRA’s Annual Meetings host state of Missouri will undoubtedly play a critical role on a national level and Workshop attendees were welcomed to St. Louis by some of Missouri’s top pro-gun elected officials committed to protecting our Second Amendment, including Lt. Governor Peter Kinder; Missouri Supreme Court Justice Zel Fischer; and Missouri state senators, Mike Kehoe and Ron Richard. Also in attendance were a number of NRA-ILA’s Election Volunteer Coordinators (EVCs), who once again are prepared to lead the charge in recruiting and organizing pro-gun volunteers.

The NRA-ILA Grassroots Workshop helped kick off an exciting weekend for over 70,000 NRA members gathered in St. Louis, who are clearly energized and motivated as we look ahead to victory in November. For more information on NRA’s Annual Meetings & Exhibits and this weekend’s events, please be sure to visit http://www.NRAAM.org.

In the days prior to today’s Workshop, Grassroots staff was scattered across the “Show-Me” state conducting a series of NRA Universities—NRA-ILA’s flagship youth activism program that seeks to educate and engage tomorrow’s leaders in the battle to protect and preserve America’s First Freedom.

If this week is any indication, you can rest assured that NRA members and America’s gun owners will be “All In” for the 2012 elections!
