Virginia: York County Board of Supervisors to Consider Site Plan Update for Lafayette Gun Club

Friday, September 13, 2013

Next Tuesday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m., the York County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to discuss the Lafayette Gun Club’s application for a site plan update.  A final vote by the county board is expected to take place after this public hearing.  This application includes a request to make modest facilities upgrades that will allow them to better serve the shooting community in York County.  Their site plan update application can be viewed here.

Details for the York County Board of Supervisors meeting:

Date:  Tuesday, September 17
Time:  7:00 p.m.
Place:  Board Room of York Hall at 301 Main Street in Yorktown

While the York County Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve this project during its July 10th meeting, it is anticipated that anti-gun activists against these upgrades will attend and voice their opposition at this meeting, as they have previously done on shooting range issues.  This is why it is critical you attend this meeting and to urge the Board of Supervisors to approve the Lafayette Gun Club application for a site plan update.  If you are unable to attend this meeting, please contact the York County Board of Supervisors.  Contact information is provided below.
