Young Texans Rise to the Challenge in Important Second Amendment Case

In late May, the NRA sent out a request for 18 to 20-year-old Texas NRA members interested in being plaintiffs in our ongoing lawsuit that challenges the constitutionality of the federal prohibition on young adults purchasing handguns from federally licensed firearm dealers.

As expected, the young NRA members of Texas came through with an overwhelming response -- so overwhelming, in fact, that we now have more than enough plaintiffs for the case.

Even with the progress being made through Second Amendment litigation, this is no time for young freedom-minded Texans to relax. The Obama campaign is doing everything it can to recapture the youth vote that helped elect him in 2008. Now, young NRA members can help show Obama that they value the individual rights embodied in the Second Amendment, by getting involved locally and making sure that friends and family get to the polls in November.
