Please Contact the Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee Today!
Senate Bill 129, sponsored by State Senator Robert Stivers (R-25), would create a new set of ambiguous definitions that will adversely affect the lawful transportation of firearms. SB129 is expected to be heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, March 1.
Also, awaiting a committee vote is Senate Bill 8. Sponsored by State Senator Jack Westwood (R-23), SB8 would permit a concealed firearm in a motor vehicle in any compartment or box regularly installed in the vehicle by its manufacturer, regardless of whether the compartment or box is locked, unlocked, or has no locking mechanism.
Please contact the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee today and respectfully urge them to OPPOSE SB129 and to SUPPORT SB8.
