HB 46, sponsored by Representative Steve Watt (R-17), "No Duty to Retreat/Castle Doctrine" legislation, and HB 78, sponsored by Representative Becket Hinckley (R-41), the Alaska-style concealed carry reform measure, were both passed off of the House floor yesterday by overwhelming votes. The bills have been assigned to the Joint Judiciary Committee and could come up for a hearing as early as this Friday, February 17. While the initial votes were encouraging, these bills have been targeted for defeat by the Brady Campaign folks and nothing should be taken for granted in this Wyoming budget session.
