Maryland`s black bear hunting season opened Tuesday with a record-large bruin and continued efforts by the Humane Society of the United States to end the hunt. Twenty-year-old Coty Jones, of Fishing Creek downed the 615-pound, eight-feet-tall male with her rifle.
