Please Continue to Contact Your State Representative!
Yesterday, animal “rights" lobbyists and activists converged on Harrisburg in support of Representative Maher’s amendments to Senate Bill 71. Due to your telephone calls and e-mails, the scheduled vote was postponed to Tuesday, December 13.
As you may recall from yesterday’s alert, these amendments would put an end to organized bird shoots in Pennsylvania. This long-standing shooting sport, practiced for over a hundred years, boasts esteemed historical participants like President Theodore Roosevelt, Annie Oakley and Ernest Hemingway.
Please continue to call AND e-mail your state Representative and urge him or her to protect Pennsylvania’s sporting tradition and vote AGAINST the Maher amendments to Senate Bill 71. For help identifying your state Representative and their contact information, please click here.
Don’t forget to forward this alert to your family, friends and fellow supporters of Pennsylvania’s sporting tradition. Urge them to also call their state Representative to help put a stop to animal “rights” activists because they won’t stop until all sporting traditions have been banned in Pennsylvania.
