Your attendance at an upcoming public meeting to discuss the future of hunting in Island County is critical! Some Island County residents are planning on petitioning the government to change county owned hunting lands, including Deer Lagoon, into county parks. If this happens it will put an end to your hunting rights!
There will be a public meeting to discuss such a move on Thursday, May 26, in the South Whidbey High School Commons, located at 5675 S. Maxwelton Road in Langley.
It is absolutely critical that hunters turnout for this meeting. It is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., but NRA recommends you arrive at 6:00 p.m. Please encourage your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen to attend!
The meeting will be moderated by the Island County Sheriff’s Department
and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
