62-year-old jewelry salesman Stephen Fleischman was on a business trip in Memphis, Tenn. when a group of four men, at least two of whom were armed, confronted him in a parking lot. The men attempted to rob Fleischman, who responded by drawing his gun and firing at the criminals, striking two. The two who were shot collapsed to the ground, while the other two fled the scene. The wounded robbers were taken to a local hospital and are described as being in critical condition. Fleischman, who travels often for business, has an Alabama Right-to-Carry permit. Understanding the importance of armed self-defense, Tennessee recognizes Right-to-Carry permits from all states where they are available.
