Please Contact Your State Legislators Today!

On Thursday, May 21, House Bill 5875, a bill including a “no-net-loss” amendment, passed the Connecticut House by a vote of 109-31-11.  The bill now heads to the State Senate for consideration.

HB5875 contains critical language requiring that for every acre of public hunting land that is closed for any reason, an acre must be opened.  This ensures that public hunting lands in Connecticut will never decrease.

Please contact the members of the Connecticut State House of Representatives that voted “yes” on HB5875 and thank them for preserving our hunting rights.  A record of the vote can be found here.
Also, please contact members of the State Senate and encourage them to vote “yes” on HB5875.
