California: Anti-Gun Ordinance to be Considered in Emeryville!

Thursday, March 11, 2010

Please Stand Up and Make Your Voices Heard!

On Tuesday, March 16, the Emeryville City Council will consider a proposed ordinance that would severely restrict the sales of firearms and ammunition within city limits.

Under the proposal, firearm and ammunition retailers would be forced to deal with mountains of red-tape and obtain licenses from the Chief of Police in order to operate.  Moreover, a 45-day moratorium would be put in place thus preventing any firearm or ammunition retailers from going into business until April 16, 2010.

The ordinance will be considered at 7:05 p.m. at the Emeryville City Hall located at
1333 Park Avenue in Emeryville.  Please attend and, if possible, voice your opposition to this anti-gun measure.

If you are unable to attend, please contact the members of the Emeryville City Council TODAY at (510) 596-4376 and let them know you oppose this proposal.  Email addresses for the council members can be found below.
