Virginia: Right-to-Carry and Preemption Under Attack in the City of Richmond!

Friday, January 18, 2008

In an attempt to destroy Virginia’s well-defined preemption laws House Bill 1277 is heading to the House Rules Committee.  Introduced by Delegate Lionel Spruill (D-77), HB 1277 is designed to gut your Right-to-Carry on Capitol Square, the area of the City of Richmond surrounded by Bank, Governor, Broad, and Ninth Streets, as well as the interior of the State Capitol, the General Assembly Building, and the Patrick Henry Building.  This bill could be called in for a vote at any time after the mandatory five-day waiting period.

Please contact the members of the House Rules Committee and voice your concerns about this blatant disrespect for your Second Amendment rights.
