| Georgia: Self-Defense Legislation Heads to Senate Floor for Possible Vote |

House Bill 89 has been carried over from the 2007 session and could be up for a possible vote any day now. HB 89 would enhance the right of self-defense by allowing an individual who qualifies for a license to carry a handgun, even if the individual does not have such a license, to transport a loaded firearm in any private motor vehicle on to a parking lot that has public access.
