House Committee Schedules Statewide Hearings on “Gun Violence” in Pennsylvania!

Friday, March 30, 2007

The House Judiciary Committee, Chaired by Tom Caltagirone (D-Berks) has scheduled statewide hearings on gun-related crime.  This is an opportunity for Pennsylvania’s law-abiding gun owners to express their concerns regarding the many recent anti-gun proposals introduced in the House of Representatives, including "one-gun-a-month" schemes and semi-automatic firearm bans.  It is critical that law-abiding gun owners attend these hearings.  If you are unable to attend, please call your State Representative and urge him or her to stand-up for your Right to Keep and Bear Arms.   The following is a preliminary list of cities and dates.

If you are interested in presenting testimony or need further details on any of the informational meetings, please contact John Ryan or Bill Andring at 717-787-3525.

April 20            Center City Philadelphia

Host:            Rep. Dwight Evans/Councilwoman Donna Reed-Miller

                        Philadelphia City Hall

                        10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

April 26            Harrisburg - Final policy hearing.
