Starting tomorrow, NRA members are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the State of Louisiana’s first Second Amendment Holiday Weekend, September 4 through Sunday, September 6.  All sales tax on purchases of ammunition, firearms, and hunting supplies will be waived this weekend. 

The NRA-supported legislation, introduced by State Senator Robert Marionneaux (D-17) and signed into law by Governor Bobby Jindal (R), created the Second Amendment Holiday Weekend.  The annual tax free holiday will not only benefit all gun owners who participate, but firearm manufacturers and retailers as well.
