The “Jay M. Littlefield Memorial NRA-ILA Volunteer of the Year Award” recognizes an NRA member who demonstrates exceptionally meritorious activism in defense of our Second Amendment rights. The 2006 “Jay M. Littlefield Memorial NRA-ILA Volunteer of the Year” winners are: Cedric Scofield (MN) and Bob Brown (MO).

Cedric Scofield is the NRA-ILA Election Volunteer Coordinator (EVC) for Minnesota’s 1st, 2nd, and 4th Congressional Districts, where he has served since 2002.  Cedric has raised the bar in member activism with his continuous dedication in three battleground congressional districts.

Cedric volunteers countless hours recruiting new members and volunteers, attending gun shows and various pro-gun events, and working closely with pro-gun candidates across Minnesota. He also dedicates much of his time to various gun-related legislative issues by serving as the Legislative Director for the Minnesota Rifle and Revolver Association.

With Cedric’s enthusiasm and dedication to the Second Amendment, he is certainly a vital player in the pro-gun future of Minnesota.

Bob Brown joined the EVC program in 2004 and quickly took the helm of Missouri’s 6th Congressional District.

Bob has been instrumental in assisting with NRA-ILA’s lobbying efforts throughout the state. In 2006, Bob also played a vital role in the re-election efforts for Senator Jim Talent. Although the Senator lost his re-election bid, Bob’s efforts did not go unnoticed.  Bob dedicated countless hours organizing phone banks, attending gun shows, recruiting campaign volunteers and along with his family, assembled a “Talent for Senate” float which was used in several cities during the campaign season.

Bob has seen politicians come and go in Missouri, but he remains committed in his efforts to elect pro-gun candidates to benefit all Missourians.

We know you all join us in congratulating Cedric and Bob for their tireless defense of the Second Amendment.

Congratulations!
